The terror attacks scarred mumbai like nothing else . Two years on , bloodied but unbowed , the city has come to terms with the tragedy with heroic fortitude , and moved on . Mumbai has been repeatedly devastated ( riots , blasts , floods ) and repeatedly it has picked itself up and got along with the business of going on . This ineffable quality is most frequently conveyed in vulgar truism , one that people reach for as a shorthand to convey the city's indomitable nature : The Spirit of Mumbai .
